Everyone’s Gang: Inspiring Change and Empowering Young People

At DesParking, we believe in using our platform not just to support drivers, but to support communities. Recently, our founder Desmond had the privilege of working alongside the inspiring charity Everyone’s Gang, co-founded by Pete Henrickson and Tyrrel Clara, to deliver a powerful session to a group of young men about making the right choices early in life.
This is a story about resilience, redemption, and the importance of standing strong against negative influences.
Who Are Everyone’s Gang?
Everyone’s Gang is a grassroots charity that tackles one of the most pressing issues facing young people in the UK today—gang culture. Founded by two men from very different backgrounds, the organisation brings authenticity, lived experience, and a practical approach to guiding young people away from crime and towards opportunity.
-
Pete Henrickson, Co-Founder / Director
At 63 years old, Pete brings wisdom and stability. A self-made multi-millionaire, Pete retired at 55 and has since dedicated much of his time to supporting youth-focused charities. His mission is clear: to give back, to mentor, and to help the next generation build a life they won’t need to escape from. -
Tyrrel Clara (formally known as Live’O), Co-Founder / Director
At just 26, Tyrrel has lived through challenges most of us could never imagine. Having spent seven years of his young life in prison, he is determined to ensure others don’t make the same mistakes. Tyrrel speaks with raw honesty about his journey—his choices, the consequences, and the scars they left behind. Today, as an artist and mentor, he channels his creativity and lived experience into helping young people make better decisions for their futures.
Together, Pete and Tyrrel create a unique and powerful partnership—combining financial acumen, life experience, and unfiltered honesty to address the realities of gang culture.
The Mission of Everyone’s Gang
The charity is built on the belief that prevention is more powerful than cure. Rather than waiting until young people become entrenched in crime, Everyone’s Gang steps in early to provide:
-
Real-life insight into the dangers of gang involvement.
-
Practical guidance on making positive life choices.
-
Mentorship that blends lived experience with professional support.
-
Community-focused events that encourage consistency, hard work, and dedication.
At Everyone’s Gang, showing up matters. Consistency matters. Celebrating small wins matters. And most importantly, creating an environment where young people feel seen, heard, and valued makes all the difference.
Recently, our founder Desmond joined forces with Everyone’s Gang and Eric from PacmanTV (record label owner and director) to speak directly to young men about the importance of choices, reputation, and community.
We spoke about:
-
The power of early decisions – how the paths you choose in your teens and twenties can shape your entire future.
-
Standing strong against pressure – not following the crowd, even when the pressures feel overwhelming.
-
The weight of reputation – why your name and your character often enter the room before you do.
-
Community and connection – how the people you surround yourself with can either hold you back or propel you forward.
The session was a mix of learning, honesty, and encouragement. We didn’t just talk—we laughed, competed, shared experiences, and celebrated wins together. These are the moments that build trust and leave a lasting impact.
Why This Work Matters
Gang culture and youth crime remain a major challenge in many UK communities. According to government reports, thousands of young people are at risk of exploitation, peer pressure, and involvement in crime. Organisations like Everyone’s Gang provide early intervention, showing that there is another way forward—one built on ambition, creativity, and positive community ties.
When young people are given access to mentors who understand their struggles, they can see that success doesn’t come from quick fixes or dangerous shortcuts. It comes from:
-
Hard work and dedication
-
Positive connections and role models
-
Consistency in showing up, even on tough days
-
Believing that your potential outweighs your pressures
This is exactly the message that DesParking stands by, and it’s why we are proud to collaborate with charities like Everyone’s Gang.
Celebrating Change and Consistency
One of the most powerful takeaways from working with Everyone’s Gang is their focus on celebrating consistency. Success doesn’t happen overnight. It comes from:
-
Turning up when you don’t feel like it.
-
Putting in effort even when progress feels slow.
-
Staying committed to growth and positive choices.
At Everyone’s Gang, these efforts are rewarded. Young people are encouraged to celebrate their achievements—no matter how small—because progress builds confidence, and confidence builds a better future.
Moving Forward Together
At DesParking, we’re passionate about being more than just a business. We believe in community, in giving back, and in helping young people build a life full of choices they’ll be proud of. Partnering with organisations like Everyone’s Gang is a privilege and a reminder that together, we can help shape brighter futures.
